WELCOME TO MY SITE

 

My name is Robert Bolish and I am very passionate about vintage to modern-day aircraft and the stories they tell.

 

Not everyone was an Ace during World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf Conflict up to our modern day conflicts, but what I do is illustrate the average "Joe" with my art. I tell the stories of the guys and gals who may not have paid the ultimate sacrifice during their mission, but live to tell their own personal adventure in the annals of war. Most publications do not print these stories and we know that once the storyteller is gone, so is the history.

 

I am trying to preserve a little of that history by creating historically accurate aircraft art.

 

All of my prints are drawn on the computer and illustrated right down to the last rivet!

 

As I have learned more about each aircraft, my prints have become greater in scale, larger than my earlier prints, which were 8.5 x 11 or 11 x 17. My new work has evolved as our history has.
